This is a great car seat, I like the fact that my baby will be able to use it for a year. And it is very safe. But it is bigger than others, or course, and more awkward for me to carry than I thought it would be. I leave it in the car when possible and use my front carrier Graco SnugRide 32 Infant Car Seat. Also I didn't give the car a second thought, we have a new 4-door civic with a pretty roomy back seat (I thought) and this car seat only fits if you push the passenger seat up so far that my knees tough the dashboard (I'm 5'3").
